The students of BE (Electronics Engineering) Program from Wainganga College of Engineering and Management undertook an industrial visit to Airport Authority of India, Nagpur (A Miniratna – Category -1 Public Sector Enterprise). Airports Authority of India (AAI) manages 125 airports with the responsibility of creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure. The students visited Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur. In the mean time Mr Gaurav Rathore from AAI described the functioning of various departments and overcoming of various difficulties encountered during daily functioning of the office. The students visited Air Traffic Control Tower and Equipment Room where they were briefed about the management and control of airplanes both on-field and in-air by the ATC staff. The students observed the live monitoring and broadcasting of the signals in connection to the airplane navigation and control.
